There are 9 Board members: 4 Officers and 5 Members-at-Large. Positions are elected by members with Officers serving a 2-year term and Members-at-Large serving a 1-year term.

The election will be had at the General Member Meeting on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Greenwood Branch Library. (Meeting info)

First, you must be a Seattle Atheists member to run and to vote (don't forget to renew if you need to! And yes, you can become a member at the meeting.) Then, simply nominate someone (or yourself) for a specific position. In order to provide members with information about the candidates, we ask that you submit your nomination in advance of the meeting on September 21th. Nominations will be accepted at the meeting, but advance notice is strongly encouraged. Candidate nominations will be listed on this website, and you can click on the names to view each candidate statement. At the Election Meeting candidates will have to be able to give a short speech and answer questions from the members.
