Discussion with ACLU Speaker Judy Bendich

Seattle Atheists welcomes Judy Bendich from the ACLU to give a presentation on civil rights issues in the criminal justice system.

Lecture topics will include such things as the over-incarceration of people of color, continued incarceration and loss of voting rights due to debt, inadequate legal services, and the death penalty.

A retired attorney who has worked on class action lawsuits for workers rights.  She has been an active member of both State and National ACLU Boards for more than three decades and many committees,  including the Church-State Committee and 10 years’ service on the National ACLU’s Executive Committee.

She will be taking the time to spend the day updating and educating us on these very important issues.

When: May 10th, 12:00 pm

Where: Lake Hill Library, Bellevue

The doors will open at 11:30 am,  Judy will speak at noon with opportunity for a Q&A following the talk.  We will serve light refreshments.
