Dawkins at UW

Last night, in what was absolutely the most successful and most-attended atheist event ever in Seattle, 5,000 people gathered at the Hec Edmundson Pavilion on the UW campus to hear Richard Dawkins talk about his new book, The Greatest Show on Earth. It was such a pleasure and privilege to hear Prof. Dawkins speak, and Seattle Atheists would like to thank UW’s Secular Student Union and the Center for Inquiry for organizing the event, and Prof. Dawkins for coming to Seattle. It was deeply, deeply appreciated.

If you visited our table at the event, and would like to become a member of Seattle Atheists, visit our membership page, forum, and check out our events list.

Seattle Atheists holds bi-monthly membership meetings with speakers on a variety of secular and science topics, as well as events, such as a book group, atheist pride parade, Independence Day picnic, a 2010 winter gala, films, gift wrapping (which benefits Children’s Hospital) and many, many more events. We provide numerous opportunities for networking and community service, to improve the image of atheism in the community.

We look forward to seeing you!
