Seattle Atheists featured in the Sunday Times

March 31st, 2009

jeffersonOur bus ads have been featured in the Seattle Times. They’ll be going up in the inside of about 40 buses on April 1st.  Keep an eye out, and let us know how they look.  Read the story here.

“Question with boldness even the existence of God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear.”
- Thomas Jefferson

“I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.”
- Susan B. Anthony

“If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.”
- Albert Einstein

I was just on my way to classes this morning at Highline C.C. and spotted one of your ads on the 132 route, the Thomas Jefferson one specifically. I have to say it made my morning, especially since surprisingly enough there wasn’t an ad for a church on that bus but I know there’s most likely going to be one on the bus I ride home. Thanks for spreading our message

P.S. Neihls Bohr’s alleged response to Einstein, “Stop telling God what to do”. Another deluded deist.
